Player & Parent/Carer Code of Conduct

One Football Academy

1. Introduction

One Football Academy is committed to creating a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all participants, in line with the standards set by the The Football Association and relevant County Football Associations.

These Codes of Conduct form part of the Club’s Terms and Conditions and must be agreed to at registration by all players and their parents/carers.

Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Club’s Disciplinary Procedures.

Oversight of this policy is the responsibility of Jayson Mehra.

2. Player Code of Conduct

All players representing One Football Academy must:

2.1 Behaviour and Respect
• Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, match officials, and spectators at all times
• Accept decisions made by referees and officials without dissent
• Refrain from using abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language or behaviour

2.2 Fair Play and Sportsmanship
• Play fairly and within the rules of the game
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship whether winning or losing
• Encourage teammates and support others positively

2.3 Commitment and Conduct
• Attend training sessions and matches punctually and prepared
• Follow instructions given by coaches and officials
• Take responsibility for their own behaviour and actions

2.4 Safety and Welfare
• Report any concerns about safety, bullying, or inappropriate behaviour to a coach or Jayson Mehra
• Not engage in behaviour that could cause harm to themselves or others

2.5 Prohibited Behaviour
Players must not:
• Engage in bullying, intimidation, or harassment
• Use violence or aggressive behaviour
• Damage property belonging to the Club or others
• Bring the Club into disrepute

3. Parent/Carer Code of Conduct

Parents and carers play a vital role in supporting a positive football environment. All parents/carers must:

3.1 Behaviour and Respect
• Respect coaches, referees, officials, players, and other spectators
• Not engage in abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour
• Accept match officials’ decisions without confrontation

3.2 Support for Players
• Encourage fair play, effort, and enjoyment rather than focusing solely on results
• Support all players, not just their own child
• Avoid coaching or instructing players from the sidelines

3.3 Safeguarding and Welfare
• Ensure their child is collected promptly and safely from sessions
• Inform the Club of any medical conditions, safeguarding concerns, or relevant changes
• Report any concerns about welfare or behaviour to Jayson Mehra

3.4 Communication and Conduct
• Communicate with coaches and Club officials respectfully and through appropriate channels
• Not post or share inappropriate content relating to the Club or its members on social media
• Respect confidentiality and data protection requirements

3.5 Prohibited Behaviour
Parents/carers must not:
• Enter the field of play unless invited by a coach or official
• Use abusive language, gestures, or behaviour
• Engage in confrontations with players, officials, or other spectators
• Undermine the authority of coaches or Club officials

4. Breaches and Disciplinary Action

4.1
Any breach of these Codes of Conduct will be taken seriously and may result in action, including:
• Verbal or written warnings
• Removal from training sessions or matches
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent exclusion from One Football Academy

4.2
Serious breaches, including safeguarding concerns, discrimination, or abuse, may be referred to The Football Association, County FA, or relevant authorities.

5. Agreement and Acknowledgement

By registering with One Football Academy:
• Players agree to abide by the Player Code of Conduct
• Parents/Carers agree to abide by the Parent/Carer Code of Conduct
• All parties acknowledge that failure to comply may result in disciplinary action

Signed acceptance of these Codes forms part of the Club’s registration process.
